To provide key legal support activities independently, requiring formal education, training and experience. Will have knowledge and expertise regarding the legal system and procedural law which qualify them to do some work of a legal nature but will work under supervision of a qualified legal counsel.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Independently manage and perform complex administrative and organizational tasks to ensure continuity of higher-level administrative processes.
  • Legal support for low to medium-level complexity legal activities, including contracting, M&A and divestment transactions.
  • Identifying legal, financial and business contract issues; contract management; legal research; responding to contract requests; client counseling on contract issues and company policies; Responsible for knowledge management, cost and records management.
  • Generating, negotiating and finalizing contracts using Novartis approved templates.
  • Board Resolutions, Maintaining Officers List, Corporate Filings, support M&A, Taxes and BDL functions, POA, and insolvency matters.
  • Projects, Mergers and Acquisitions, Divestment/Divestitures, SOX, Data Privacy, Litigation.
  • Providing input and updates to SMEs for the litigation and monthly reconciliation reports; calendar due dates; document management; document review; responding to discovery requests and review and support document production; conducting interviews; conducting research.
  • Compiling key custodian lists. Preparing and administering document preservation notices (DPN) including custodian inquiries.
  • Reporting technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt
  • Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

Essential Requirements:

  • Law degree graduated   or equivalent
  • Good contract management experience
  • Experienced dealing with complexity
  • Worked in a global environment
  • Strong Project Management and Operations Management and Execution skills
  • Excellent communications skills in English written and verbal
  • Digital and Technology Savvy
  • A customer service mindset
